At Renesans, we believe we have a great responsibility to every artist who chooses our paints. Feeling honoured by their trust, we continuously strive to create the best possible products. We select the highest quality pigments and binders, aiming for paints made in Poland to become synonymous with quality.

Our commitment to protecting the environment goes beyond producing solvent-free paints for artists. Oil paints consist of pigment suspended in a binder. As binders, we use linseed oil and safflower oil—natural, plant-based, and non-toxic materials.

Oils for Art are exceptional artist paints produced using a unique manufacturing process that ensures the highest standards. They contain the finest traditional pigments, while we are also excited to incorporate several outstanding newly developed pigments—all in high concentrations.

The result of these refined formulas is paints of exceptional purity and depth that mix easily with one another. Oils for Art stand out from other paints on the market because we apply many traditional methods of the Old Masters when combining the oil binder with pigments that have been pre-treated (“wetted”) with linseed oil. In our formulations, we use various types of linseed oil purified through advanced refining processes. For white shades, however, we use a blend based on safflower oil from Belgium.

Auxiliary agents and additives are used only in minimal amounts to ensure consistency and the proper texture necessary for smooth application and balanced drying. Pigment and linseed oil alone are simply not enough to produce a high-quality artist paint.

People with allergies or sensitivity to chemicals often react more to solvents and thinners used for diluting paint or cleaning brushes than to the oil paint itself. In such cases, we recommend cleaning brushes and tools using our Plant-Based Solvent and using a solvent-free Oil Medium with driers to improve brush glide during painting.

The range includes 90 colours, including 2 metallic shades, available in tubes of 20 ml, 60 ml, and 140 ml, as well as 31 colours in 500 ml cans.
