ANNIGONI
<p>ANNIGONI SERIES DRAWING PAPER, developed in collaboration with master artist Pietro Annigoni - 'ANNIGONI' - 100% COTTON - 250 gsm - Natural Rough - Smooth - Magnani 1404 - paper produced using traditional methods on cylindrical drum machines according to special recipes. The paper contains 100% cotton, as well as an addition of colored cellulose fibers, which are faintly visible in the beige mass. It is made from the purest cotton flowers without the use of acids or chlorine derivatives. Its natural surface and color make it excellent for drawing with charcoal, sanguine, or pastels. Its acid-free composition and chlorine-free production make it UV-resistant, prevent yellowing over time, and ensure the longevity of the artwork. Its wonderful, pen-like texture captures the intensity of lines and colors and is suitable for use with natural media such as rabbit skin glue. </p> -
MODERN ART
<p>PAINTING AND DRAWING PAPER - one of the latest versions of Magnani 1404 paper - 'ARTE MODERNA' - 100% COTTON - 300 gsm - Natural Rough - Mixed Media - Natural, delicate, sandy texture - paper produced using traditional methods on cylindrical drum machines. This is a modern paper designed with contemporary artists and their needs in mind, containing 100% cotton, made from the purest cotton flowers without the use of acids or chlorine derivatives. Its natural surface makes it highly versatile, excellent for both dry and wet techniques. Its acid-free and chlorine-free production makes it UV-resistant, prevents yellowing over time, and ensures the longevity of the artwork. At the same time, its deep white hue and wonderful brushstroke texture bring out the intensity of the colors and the paints used. It is also suitable for watercolors, tempera, gouache, and ink. It remains stable even when water is used, is highly resistant to mechanical abrasion, ensures good paint flow, and produces interesting splotches and streaks; however, watercolor paint washes out of it very easily, so care must be taken. The paper is double-sided.</p> -
FLORENCE
<p>PAINTING PAPER FOR ACRYLIC AND WET MEDIA - 'FIRENZE' - 100% COTTON - 400 gsm - Rough - Acrylic - Grana Grossa - Grainy - Magnani 1404 - paper produced using traditional methods on cylindrical drum machines. This is one of the papers with the longest manufacturing history, containing 100% cotton, made from the purest cotton flowers without the use of acids or chlorine derivatives. It is double-sided, internally and externally sized, using a synthetic gelatin substitute, without the use of animal-derived substances. Its acid-free nature guarantees resistance to aging and UV exposure; the paper does not yellow over time and ensures the durability of the pigments used. Thanks to its strong binding, high weight, and the use of cotton in its natural form, the paper withstands corrections and paint removal exceptionally well, while also absorbing large amounts of water without warping. Recommended for painting with acrylics, watercolors, tempera, gouache, or ink. Its warm tone and intense texture beautifully render the colors of the paints used. The paper is also suitable for watercolors as it is extremely stable even when using large amounts of water, highly resistant to mechanical abrasion, and ensures good paint flow. Watercolor paint does not wash out of it as easily as with other papers. The paper is double-sided.</p> -
PONTE VECCHIO
<p>PAINTING AND DRAWING PAPER - 'PONTE VECCHIO' - 20% COTTON - 220 gsm - Rough - Large grain - Grana grossa - Textured - Magnani 1404 - paper produced using traditional methods on cylindrical drum machines. This is one of the papers with the longest manufacturing history, containing 20% cotton, made from the purest cotton flowers without the use of acids or chlorine derivatives. Its rough surface, properly treated, makes it excellent for dry media such as drawing, charcoal, and pastel. With moderate use of water, it is also suitable for watercolor, tempera, gouache, or ink. It is then highly resistant to friction, e.g., from an eraser, and its warm tone guarantees intense color. Watercolor paint spreads very well on it, creating interesting spots and streaks; the paper is double-sided and allows watercolor paint to be washed out quite easily.</p> -
VELATA
<p>DRAWING PAPER - 'VELATA' - 20% COTTON 90 gsm - Natural - Smooth - Magnani 1404 - an absolutely exceptional paper, one of the few papers produced using traditional methods based on old recipes on cylindrical drum machines, and designed for drawing and sketching. It contains 20% of valuable cotton fibers, made from the purest pulp without the use of acids or chlorine derivatives. Its perfectly smooth surface and excellent grip make it ideal for sketches in pencil, charcoal, sanguine, sepia, or pastel. </p>
