Properties of opacity
The opacity of a pigmented paint depends not only on the thickness of the applied layer but also on the type and content of the pigment, as well as the type of filler used in the paint. All colors were tested using the same methods: application on a black-and-white striped surface, which allows for a 4-point classification:
Opaque
Semi-opaque
Semi-transparent
Transparent
Lightfastness and weather resistance
This describes the paint’s durability in daylight. The quantity and intensity of influencing factors, such as solar radiation intensity, temperature, humidity, and the content of oxygen or other gases in the air, are also significant.
