H2Oil PRINT – a unique graphic ink for relief printing (linocut, woodcut, etc.). This pleasantly scented ink is based on linseed oil, contains no solvents, and washes off easily with water, even after drying. Drying time depends on temperature, ventilation, ink layer thickness, and paper type. H2OIL is an oil-based ink, but it is water-soluble; linseed oil polymerizes with air, and this process takes longer than the drying of water-based ink. However, the print colors are significantly deeper when produced with oil-based ink. On paper, drying time is relatively fast, but still typical of oil paints. The printed work should therefore be left to dry in an empty drawer, cabinet, or hung up for at least 2 weeks. The Renesans H2Oil PRINT color range consists of 11 shades and 1 Transparent Medium. We recommend using Renesans Transparent Fixative as a finish to protect the artwork or to apply another layer of color.
High-quality H2OIL PRINT colors contain organic and inorganic pigments with the highest lightfastness and excellent intensity (especially black). The colors can be applied in layers. They can be mixed together, are ready to use, and can be diluted with water. Printing tools can be easily cleaned with water. All colors are available in 60 ml tubes. Black is also available in 250 and 500 ml plastic jars.
